ABSTRACT

Learning disabilities in children represent a significant challenge, impacting academic performance, social development, and overall quality of life. Pediatric nurses play an essential role in the early identification and management of learning disabilities, serving as advocates, educators, and coordinators of care. This review examines the key responsibilities of pediatric nurses in identifying early signs of learning disabilities, implementing evidence-based interventions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting families in navigating educational and healthcare systems. Current trends, challenges, and future directions in the field are discussed, emphasizing the importance of training, interprofessional collaboration, and the integration of technology. By addressing these issues comprehensively, pediatric nurses can contribute to improved developmental outcomes and foster inclusive environments that support children with learning disabilities.
